Uncle Trupe, I remember well all the great times we shared in the Zarpentine family. I remember you joining the "kids" in the back yard of 5030 to play ball. I remember you sitting at the kitchen table joining the never-ending game of euchre with Grandpa Zarp. I remember you volunteering to umpire one of my Little League baseball games. I remember your being quick to smile. I remember your always even disposition, despite the antics of my beloved Aunt and Godmother, Neva. I remember the absolute love and support you gave to my cousins Pat and Jenny. I remember you always treating everyone with respect. I remember the twinkle that was always in your eyes. I will miss you but I am a better person for having you as my uncle.

Uncle Truman I want to you know how much you have meant to me in the decades since my parents have passed. I know you are home with them now and I wish you would let them know how much I still love them, and you, and your beautiful wife Neva. Please understand we are adults trying to carry on the love and prosperity that your generation tried to teach us. It was hard for all of you but its gotten a lot harder since. Our families have always stood tall, knew the difference from wrong and right and we will teach our children these important principles. Thank you for all you always did, from the fireworks every year, to teaching me how to drive tractors and boats. We will miss you and every member of your generation but with the exception of Aunt Doris, the generational torch has been passed. Please believe we can run with it, and make it the biggest bonfire ever, but most importantly never let it go out. Thank you for teaching us from your greatest generation...But we will keep it going. I can fully remember when I experienced the lightening event when Neva and Trupe's eyes met along time ago. We always admired them both and will never forget their kindness. All our heartfelt wishes go to the family.
