I was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Jerry. I was a faculty member at Churchville from 1968 (my first year of teaching) to 1975. I quickly discovered that Jerry had a great sense of humor, was always around for the students and was a great role model for me. My most sincere condolences to his family.

May he rest in peace.
We missed the wake by minutes; we had been out f town.On our trip we happened to meet a student of Jerry's from 1967, who remembered Jerry as a great math teacher and terrific guy.We agreed with him. Dave used to play euchre with Jerry in the boiler room on their lunch break and had fond memories of that. I remember Jerry's crooked, knowing smile and his sardonic sense of humor. Pris and family: we are so sorry for your loss--and ours.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Tyler's passing. He was my homeroom teacher and Geometry teacher at CCCHS back in 1968 and my favorite teacher throughout high school. He was always so positive and confident in my success in his class and had a definite impact on my life. I am sorry for your family's loss of such a wonderful, caring man. My mom ran the school cafeteria at that time and he was always so kind to her and her staff and was one her favorites. Know that he will always be with you, in your thoughts, memories and heart. Once again, accept my heartfelt condolences. God Bless you all. Louise Dimor Pizzutelli

The first time I saw Mr. Tyler, I was terrified of him, yet I soon discovered that he was a big teddy bear under that gruff exterior. He was a wonderful man and teacher who made a big difference in the life of many, many students. May you rest in peace, Mr. Tyler.
