Ruthie was a neighbor on Chambers Street all my life growing up. We also shared a common aunt and uncle. I remember when she came to my birthday party several years ago at the Village Inn. In the summer I she always came to the Sunday music at the Spencerport NY gazebo and we spoke quite a bit. She was always a pleasant and fun lady. I loved her and her red car. Both were the best. The neighborhood has lost a gem of a lady.
The Curts have been our neighbors for over 30 years. It was so sad when Ruthie had to lose her husband. I can still see the two of them sitting in the garage enjoying the evening. I remember also when Ruthis bought her new red car. She said that she alway wanted a red car and now she had it. She was a strong and determined woman. I will miss her very much.
