Obituary of Joyce E. Levandoski

Spencerport- Passed away on July 16, 2023. Joyce is survived by her three children, Laurie (Tom) O'Reilly, Michelle (James) Hickey, Karen Gardner; sister, Brenda Garrity; brother, Dale Erdman; grandchildren, Lindsay(Adam) Maier, Brittany (Daniel Kolinski) O'Reilly, Sean Hickey, Lauren Hickey, Kevin Hickey, Kyle Tibbetts, Samantha Tibbetts, Emily Tibbetts, and great-grandchildren Ava Kolinski and Rachel Myers. 

Joyce was Director of Food Service for the Rochester City School District for 30 years, a president of the New York State School Food Service Association, and a board member and lobbyist for the National School Food Service Association. Her passion was to make sure children had the nutrition they needed to learn and grow. Joyce and her life partner Albert also enjoyed square dancing, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends in both the Rochester Area and Florida.

Joyce's life story will be celebrated during her visitation, Friday, July 21st, 4-7 pm at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Mount Rest Cemetery, Bergen NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Rochester and the Fingerlakes region.
