Obituary of Albert Cucurullo

Cucurullo, Albert Joseph Churchville: On March 26, 2016, Albert passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 97. He was surrounded by his family and his loving wife of 73 years, Lucy Annunziato Cucurullo. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Gerard and sister-in-law, Louise Annunziato Cucurullo. In addition to his wife, Albert will be dearly missed by his children, Albert (Catherine) Cucurullo, Jr., Don Cucurullo, and Janice (Tom) Armstrong; his grandchildren, Denise (David) Cox, Jill Cucurullo, Brian Van Steen, Heather (David) Graham, Robyn (Gerald) O'Brien, Katie Armstrong, Michael (Christina) Armstrong, Elaine (Bryan) Barth and Jill Armstrong; and his great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Emily Cox, David and Jamie Graham, Aidyn and Aubrey Barth, Emma Armstrong and twins Anna and Thomas Armstrong whom he adored; he also leaves behind nine special nieces and nephews. Albert was born in White Plains, NY. He graduated from Fordham University and worked at Kensico Cemetery as an accountant later becoming treasurer at the Bank of Portchester in New York. He served honorably as a Tech. Sgt. in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. To light a candle of remembrance, visit www.alifecelebrated. com No Prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Brigid's Church, 18 Gibson Street, Bergen, NY on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in Churchville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities or to Lifetime Hospice which provided the much needed support allowing our father to remain at home during his last days.
