Obituary of Mary Lucile Cassin

Cassin, Mary Lu, RN (Doyle) Spencerport: Called to heaven on October 4, 2016 after an extended illness. Predeceased by her parents Helen and Arthur, husband Michael, son Jerry, and brothers in law Walter Tymkin and Robert Diehl. Survived by her sons John (Sandra) and James; sisters Noreen Tymkin, Sharon Diehl; grandson, Brian Cassin; nephews, Keith Tymkin, Robert Diehl; niece, Mary Beth Tymkin; along with many cousins, the members of The “A Team”, and special friends. In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother she worked many years as a nurse at Greece Central Schools and The Jewish Home, along with volunteering at St. Joseph’s House of Hospitality, Unity Hospital, and Monroe County Special Olympics. The family extends a special thanks to the staff of The Wegman Cottages at Park Ridge Living Center for their compassionate care and comfort during her illness. Mary’s visitation will be Friday 3-7 PM at the funeral home, 15 West Avenue in Spencerport. Her funeral service will be Saturday 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St. in Spencerport, interment to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery in Scottsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Christian Services Foundation 349 W. Commercial St., Suite 2795 E. Rochester, NY 14445 in Mary Lu’s memory.
