On June 12, 2019 suddenly at age 53. Survived by his son, Daniel A. Gates II; parents, Ross, Gail Gates; sister, Trisha Gates-Walter; nephews, William Walter, James Fico II; niece, Giana Walter. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, from 3-6 PM with a Funeral Service following at 6:00 PM at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. Spencerport.
