On December 19, 2019 at the age of 66, life-long resident of western New York, died peacefully surrounded by family at The Memory Care Residence at Cottage Grove, after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen; daughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Kelley, Melissa (Brandon) Redmond; five grandchildren, Michaela and Jack Kelley, Stephen Bove, Harper and Blakely Redmond; her brother, William D. (Irene) Morgan Jr.; her sisters, Mari Doxiadis, Elizabeth Martone, Christine (John) Prete.

Visitation on Sunday, January 5th, from 1-3 PM with her memorial service immediately following at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Those attending are asked to wear something purple in Cathy’s honor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online to The Memory Care Residences at Cottage Grove or by check to: Rochester Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Rd., Rochester, NY 14619.

 

Cathy was born in 1953 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, NY, attended Holy Ghost Elementary School and graduated from St. Agnes High School in Rochester in 1971.

She married her husband Stephen, in 1973 and worked at Mixco (Lightnin Mixers) until 1976 when she left to start a family. Together, she and Stephen had 2 beautiful, loving daughters. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom for many years and went on to work for the town of Greece as well as SUNY Brockport in the food service industry. She also had a small used clothing business at Liberty Hollow in Spencerport.

She loved being by the water at their summer home in Olcott Beach, NY and spending time in the winter at their condo in Cocoa Beach, FL.  Cathy also loved gardening and taking care of their Victorian home in Holley, NY.
