Obituary of Mary M. Schuth

Mary Schuth (Mommom)

Mary’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. She passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2021 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Mary was born on August 27th, 1926. She grew up in Schenectady, New York where she met Joseph and married in 1947. They moved to Scranton, PA then Norristown, PA and then settled in Spencerport, NY where they would raise their children. Together Mary and Joseph had 9 children together. Mary was preceded by her loving husband Joseph and sons Joseph Jr and Timothy. She is survived by Jack (Judy) Schuth, Michael (Mary Pat) Schuth, Karen Davis, Robert (Kathy) Schuth, Patty (Bruce) Hartman, Thomas (Tina) Schuth and Peggy Schuth, Sister-in- law Alice Schuth, along with 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and niece and nephews.

Known to many as Mommom, she was a kind, caring, compassionate woman who enjoyed life and kept a relationship with God. She loved being visited by her family and friends on a daily basis, never knowing who was going to come through her door but always welcomed them with a hug and kiss. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and playing games. Mommom was famous amongst her grandchild for her grilled cheese sandwiches.

Most of all Mary loved her family and instilled in her family strong values that have served them well. She will dearly be missed and forever in our hearts.
