About 18 years ago, I was working for the church that both Neva and I attended. We also sang in the choir. During that time, my grandmother had gotten remarried at the age of 80 and that summer she and my new Grandpa Bruce were on their wedding road trip to visit all of the relatives. My grandmother and her new husband were travelling up from the southern tier of NY and taking the back roads that my grandmother remembered. Problem was that the roads had been reconfigured since she had last travelled through there (she was visiting after many years in Florida). Long story short, the grandparents become horribly disoriented in Henrietta on their way to my old apartment in the Chili area. Grandpa Bruce pulls over into the parting lot of a Montana Mills bread store to have a good think and take a nap. So, while my grandparents are napping in the car, along comes Neva, who was also going to the Montana Mills Bread store. She sees two senior citizens sleeping in the car and raps on the window and inquires within. My grandparents, now startled awake, tell her that they're looking for their granddaughter who works for a church. Neva asks a few more questions and figures out that I am the granddaughter they are looking for. She tells my grandparents, "Follow me! I know the way!" and takes them to the church where I was working. I am sitting at my desk when Neva comes up to me, grandparents in tow and says, "Yvvvvoooonnnneeeee! I have something of yours!"
