Michael G. Musson “Mike”
8/27/56-9/11/21
Michael Musson of Spencerport, died peacefully on September 11th, 2021, holding the hand of his beloved wife Susan Musson (Grove) of 39 years. Pre-deceased by his father Ernest Musson and mother Jean Musson (Finkbeiner). Not only was Mike a devoted husband, he was an amazing father to his three kids Jason Musson (Cristy), Kimberly Pastrana (Jesus) and Robin Leibert (Joshua). Most loved grandfather to his six grandchildren Isabella 12, Mia 9, Raegan 7, Michael 7, Brooklyn 4 and Nicolas 2 who he would do anything for. Mike was the best brother to John Musson (Karen), Jim Musson, Bonnie Bonura (Greg), and Judy Campney (Ken), brother-in-law to Dan Grove (Shirley), Don Grove (Ann) and Sandi Grove. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. There was not a person who met Mike who didn’t love him, his comedic sense of humor and laugh was truly contagious. He never missed any of his kids or even grandkids sporting events or school functions, even if it met Face Timing from Florida. He was known for striking up a conversation with anyone who looked at him, especially the cashiers at the grocery store. Even in his final days, he was making jokes with all the nurses in the hospital. He left a footprint everywhere he went and will never be forgotten. He truly was one of a kind, and his legacy will live on through his family.
A sincere thank you to Mike’s daughter Kim and son Jason for stepping up and being Mike’s caregiver from the last 2 years to current. Another thank you is owed to Allison Grove and the wonderful staff at Strong Memorial Hospital during Mikes time there.
Family and friends are invited for calling hours on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 11am-2pm at Walker Brothers Funeral Home: 15 West Ave, Spencerport, NY 14559. A private ceremony will be held directly following. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to two very special charities that were close to Mike’s heart: The Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
