Obituary of Jean M. "Gemma" Hogan

Jean M. "Gemma" Hogan (Trabalzi)

Spencerport, NY. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at age 93. Predeceased by her parents, Louis & Antoinette Trabalzi; brothers, Samuel & Anthony, and her sister, Angie.  Survived by her children, Michael (Connie) Hogan, Timothy Hogan, Richard (John Paladino) Hogan, Kenneth Hogan; grandchildren, Carrie (Hogan) LeBlanc, Ashley Hogan, Tyler Hogan, Michael (Stephanie) Hogan Jr., Micky Campisi, Matthew Campisi; great-grandchildren, Gracie Anne, Trey, Brody, Gemma; brother, Louis (Gail) Trabalzi and loving nephews, nieces (especially Eileen), relatives and friends. 

Jean grew up in Charlotte before moving to Spencerport. She was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church of Spencerport. Jean was a housekeeper for St. John's rectory and moved on to retire from Delco. She was a devoted mother to her sons and a great friend to everyone who knew her. Many knew her as "Gemma" and know the story. She was an excellent cook and baker and always willing to share her recipes. She was a true "Gem" and will be truly missed.  

Visitation for Jean will be on Monday, March 6 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 15 West Ave., Spencerport. Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at 10 am at St John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St., Spencerport. Interment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
