Obituary of Gladys Curatalo

Tuesday December 7, 2010 at the age of 84, peacefully and surrounded by her family. Gladys was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Mamie Mula; her husbands, Nicholas Crisci (1974) and Joseph Curatalo (1993); grandson, Nicholas C. Shakeshaft (1991). She is survived by her loving daughter, Carol (Charles) Shakeshaft; sister, Josephine (Peter) Wyse; sister-in-law, Grace (James) Iacobucci from Rhode Island; grandson, John (Kristen) Shakeshaft, great-grandchildren, Taylor and Alex Shakeshaft; many members of the Curatalo Family; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and long time friend, John. Gladys had a life-time love for music and dancing, which continued from her teen years when she and her sister were a professional dance team. She retired from a successful career in specialty advertising sales at National Advertising Co. and her own business, Criss Cross Specialities. Visitation will be held Sunday 12 Noon - 3 PM at the Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue, Spencerport where Funeral Services will be celebrated immediately following visitation at 3:00 PM. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nicholas C. Shakeshaft Learning Center, LDA Life & Learning Services, 339 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14604 in her memory.
