Becky was born Laurie Rebecca Short on June 18, 1974 in Cape May Court House, NJ. Her Dad, Roy was stationed there serving in the US Coast Guard. Her family moved back to Rochester when Becky was 2 years old with her Mom Linda and Dad. As the years passed, their family grew to include 2 more girls, Patty and Jenny. There were also cousins who were all close in age and constant companions. The families spent time together going on picnics , pumpkin and apple picking, outings with Grandma and Grandpa and just plain having fun. Grandpa's girl's club was formed, proclaiming herself president, as she was the oldest cousin. As Becky grew up, her interests included, playing in her high school band, participating in color guard and of course getting into mischief as high school kids will. She continued her education at Bryant and Stratton, sign language school, pharmacy tech, and cosmetology, which she was currently attending. Her greatest accomplishment and joy were her 2 children, Stephen and Elyse. They are her shining stars. As fate would have it, she is now their star shining over them and all who loved her.......... She left us too soon.
