Harris, Robert A. Greece: March 2, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Colaprete) Harris; daughter in-law, Alice Harris; grandsons, Robert W. Harris & Christopher (Katie) Harris; step children, Nancy (David) Gross, Donna Merino, Daniel (Sandra) Colaprete & Ronald Colaprete; step grandchildren, Jason Merino, Danielle (Ben) Krueger, Thomas Colaprete, Sariah Gross, April Gross, Gabriella Gross, Grace Colaprete & Samuel Colaprete; step great-grandchildren, Adrianna Merino, Victoria Harris & Aiden Infantine; several nieces & nephews; Dog, Squirt. Robert's visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. in Spencerport. A prayer will follow at 8:30 PM. Robert's Memorial Service will be Saturday 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 272 Farrell Rd. Ext., West Henrietta. Interment in Garland Cemetery, Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Paws Animal Shelter, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion, NY 14411 in Robert's memory. Robert grew up in Greece, NY, where as a teen he rode horses and went to horse shows. At the age of 37, he had a career in the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Frankfort, Germany. Then Robert's Daughter in-law Sandra, introduced him to his now loving wife, Dorothy, and when Robert was 57 years old, the two of them became married on February 21, 1987. He was very active in the ministry at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness. Robert enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and Alaska. He was passionate of guns and so he loved hunting, especially for Moose, elk and bear. He hunted all over the country. He so liked the outdoors, he was a fisherman, and he enjoyed skiing. He had a sense of adventure. He was a Buffalo Bills fan and he liked putting puzzles together. Robert was known as a kind man, he was resilient, helpful and reliable. He was a great story teller and always had a smile. The most important thing in Robert's life was his grandkids. Robert will be very much missed.
