Obituary of Richard McQuilkin

Unexpectedly on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Gail L. (Wilson) McQuilkin; his son, Rich (Jeannie) McQuilkin; his very special granddaughters, Maeve and Nora McQuilkin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Dick was born and raised and lived his whole life Spencerport. Dick served as a former Fire Chief and 50+ year member of the Spencerport Fire Dept. Retired after 25 years as Town of Ogden Fire Marshall and also retired from Ogden Telephone after 30 years of service. Dick was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a proud member of Ferris Goodridge American Legion Post #330. Visitation will be held Saturday 4-8PM and Sunday 1 - 4PM at the Funeral Home 15 West Avenue Spencerport, NY 14559. Dick's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church 55 Martha Street Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery Spencerport. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Spencerport Fire Dept., Spencerport Ambulance or Masses for the repose of his soul.
