Obituary of Maurice Pardington
He died peacefully with family at his side, on Friday July 23, 2010 at the age of 98. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years Eileen (Tighe) Pardington; his daughter, Carol (John) Bridgeman; grandsons, Michael (Christie) and Kevin (Jill) Bridgeman; seven great grandchildren, Aidan, Andrew, Alec, Caleigh, Stephen, Danielle and Miranda; his siblings, Geraldine (Cyril) Antheunis of Clifton Springs, NY, Vernon Pardington of Shortsville, NY and Leon (Meg) Pardington of Alta Loma, CA; sister-in-law, Helen Pardington of Manchester, NY; several nieces and nephews. Maurice and his family lived in the City of Rochester for many years on Hobart Street. Later moved to Ravenwood Street in the city and then to Spencerport. He loved to sing, his job with Monroe County Water Authority and especially his garden! No flowers in this garden! "You can't eat flowers" he said many times over the years, which explains his love of Turkey hunting as well. Maurice will always be remembered as a gentle and peaceful man who loved his family.
Visitation will be held from 9 - 10 AM (ONLY) on Monday July 26th at the Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue Spencerport 14559. Maurice's Funeral Mass will then follow at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Cathedral Community at the Sacred Heart Cathedral 296 Flower City Park Rochester, NY 14615 in his memory.
