Those wishing to send expressions of sympathy, please consider the American Cancer Society in Dave's memory. Dave was an Eagle Scout, and during his high school years he and his friends were known as the "Sober Six." He was a high-diver on the swim team and began his life-long dedication to music as a member of the chorus, band and orchestra, playing clarinet, piano and saxophone. Dave received his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Oberlin College where he was an active member of the fencing team and his Juris Doctor Degree from Northwestern University. His love of jazz, big band, and swing music deepened, and his elegant dancing and mellow voice was enjoyed by family and friends, and by the public during his Barbershop quartet years (SPEBSQSA). He served in the Active Army Reserves and was discharged in 1969. He worked in Trust Banking and was a VP and Trust Officer. Carol and Dave were high school sweethearts who reconnected 20+ years later. They were married on December 12, 1980. Their 5 children are all college graduates. Dave had a dry sense of humor (nearly desiccated), was a Civil War buff, and was a great reader, particularly fond of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and JRR Tolkien. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, "beating" the New York Times every Sunday. He enjoyed his travels, cruising the Carribean, chilling in the Catskills, and visiting the Virgin Islands and Vermont. And, of course, Dave was a dedicated Buffalo Bills Fan.
