Obituary of Pauline Stasiw
Wednesday November 23, 2011. Pauline is survived by Katherine Pauline (David) Miller of Spencerport; six grandchildren, Lescia and Austin Miller, Kris, J.J., Brett and Kenneth Stasiw; daughter-in-law, Sharon Stasiw; her sisters-in-law, Angela Popowich of Rochester, Joan Popowich of Rochester and Ruth Popowich of Spencerport, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Nicholas Popowich, mother, Pelogia Popowich, husband, Fedor Stasiw and son, Stephen Fedor Stasiw.
Calling hours will be held Sunday (Today), November 27 at Walker Brother's Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY 14559 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 940 East Ridge Road, Rochester, NY 14621 on Monday November 28 at 10:00 am. Interment Parma-Union Cemetery, Parma Center Rd/Rt. 18 in Hilton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in her name to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rochester, NY and Mercy Flight Central, Canandaigua, NY.
Pauline enjoyed being involved with St. Ann's Society and being in the Senior Citizen Club at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church. She enjoyed Ukrainian Songs. Her friends were Deacon Steve at St. Josaphat's, Violer & Bill Zurowski, Mrs. Maria Guzylak, Mrs. Olga Boychak and Mrs.Catherine Sezur.
Pauline liked her hobbies of reading, gardening, watching sports, walking with her husband, on their many acres. She worked for a food service at Eastman Kodak Company and at St. Josaphat's and Nazareth Academy. She enjoyed her family reunion get togethers. What gave Pauline the most enjoyment in her life was living on her homestead and being with her granchildren. She was passionate about her church and her faith. The best way to describe Pauline is that she was honest, compassionate, a true friend, sincere, loving and devoted to her family and friends.
