Obituary of Carmella Terena

Terena, Carmella Friday May 25, 2012 at the age of 93. Carmella was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Frank Terena and son-in-law, Tom Barone. She is survived by her daughter, Roslyn Barone of Spencerport; her granddaughters, Debra (Al) Trayer, Sharon (Tim) Flanagan and Karen (Gary) Nagy; great grandchildren, Tom (Michelle) and Chris Trayer, Tim (Heather), Sarah, Ryan and Kerrie Flanagan, Kristie (Robert) Burch, Kimberly (Travis) Yacono; great great grandchildren, Cameron, Nicholas, Dominic and Julianna; sisters, Anna and Theresa; many nieces and nephews. Carmella's family wishes to thank all of the caring and loving staff at Wedgewood Nursing Home. Carmella's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha Street Spencerport, NY 14559. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemtery. In lieu of flowers consider a charity of your choice in her memory. Carmella grew up on the east side of the city of Rochester. She enjoyed school, but left early to help care for her 12 younger siblings. She was married in 1936 at the age of 17 years old to Frank Terena. She worked at Shuron Optical Factory assembling eye glasses. She loved her pets and feeding them table food. She liked to travel to Las Vegas, enjoyed bingo & watching horse races, playing scat at family holidays. She loved watching the Buffalo Sabres & Buffalo Bills, liked watching Westerns on TV, liked listening to Elvis and eating spicy food. Carmella was always happy go lucky. She always made spaghetti and meatballs for the entire family on Sundays.
