Obituary of Sonia Koons

April 28, 2013 at age 76. Predeceased by her husband, Donald J. Koons, Sr; daughter, Donna Sokolski; sister, Shirley Forgonie; brother, Donald Cretelle. Survived by children, Debra Laley, Joseph (Mary) Lippens, Pam (John) Wagner, Kim Lippens, Chris (Tracy) Cretelle, Samantha Koons, Tonya (George) Morgan, Paul (Debra) Koons, Donald Koons, Jr.; 30 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, William, Donald Jr, Ronald, & Neal Cretelle; several nieces & nephews. Sonia's calling hours will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 21 South Main St, Churchville. A graveside funeral service will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM at Creekside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 333 Westmoreland Dr, Rochester, NY 14620 in Sonia's memory. Sonia loved watching her birds, bear, and deer in her backyard. She enjoyed camping and fishing at Black Lake and often shopped at Walmart. She also enjoyed PT at Churchville PT with Arthur. Most of all, Sonia loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
