I so enjoyed visiting Mrs. Smith at the Friendly Home with my dog Pepper. She always perked up when she had Pepper on her lap. Even though I met Mrs. Smith in the last year of her life, the beauty of her spirit shone through as though she were much younger.

Aunt Gert, you were always so good and very kind to me and my family. I will always remember those special visits and moments we had together .... talking and laughing about life. My kids said that you were so tiny, but with such a big smile and heart, that only a "story-book" grandma could have.
Lee and I will miss you, but we know you will be so happy to be with Uncle Herb once again.
