Obituary of Virginia McCoy

N. Chili: December 6, 2013. Predeceased by her husband, Frank McCoy Jr. Survived by her children, Terry (Sue) McCoy, Carol Rizkallah, Sheryl Carroll; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many friends. Virginia's visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment in N. Chili Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pearce Memorial Church, 4322 Buffalo Rd, N. Chili, NY 14514 in Virginia's memory. Virginia was born onDecember 22, 1930 in Greensburg, PA and enjoyed singing and playing piano in church whlle growing up. She met her future husband at a church camp meeting and they later married in the family home in Fairmont, W. Virginia. She obtained her Masters Degree in English from Brockport University, and her undergraduate degree in English and Education at Roberts Wesleyan College. For over 20 years, Virginia worked for Delco. Virginia was musically talented and sang and played piano. She also studied the Bible. In her spare time, she was a collector of antiques and glassware, attended Bible study groups through the years at church, liked doing crossword puzzles, reading, and going out to dinner. Family and friends would best describe Virginia as a great mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, and caregiver. She was devoted to family, hard-working, intelligent, education, christian, talented, private, and was someone who loved shopping in all of its forms and led a very active lifestyle. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
