Obituary of Ellen Menzie

Passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on February 20, 2014 at age 93. Predeceased by husband, John (Bud) Menzie; parents, Chauncey & Margaret Franklin; brothers, Alton & James Franklin; sisters, Doris Hamm & Lorraine Franklin. Survived by children, Richard (Penny) Menzie, Diane (Wayne) Griffin, James Menzie, & Gerald (Tammy) Menzie; godson, Robert (Debbie) Riley; goddaughter, Margaret Riordan; grandchildren, Jason Menzie, Jennalee (Andrew) Ashley, Jeanette, JoAnna, John, Gerald Jr, Julia & Jillian Menzie, Miller Menzie, Vanessa, Jackelyn & Victoria Stevens, Warren, Brandon (Amanda), & Corbin Griffin; great-grandchild, Brookelynn Ashley; sister, Mary Jane Riley; sisters-in-law, Rita Franklin & Sally Richardson; many nieces & nephews; faithful companions, "Molly" & "Luna". Ellen was a member of the Bergen American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary, St. Brigid's Church, Rose Garden Junior Bowling program, and lifetime member of the Genesee ARC. Visitation is 12-3 & 5-7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home, 21 S. Main St, Churchville. Ellen's funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday at St. Brigid's Church, 18 Gibson St, Bergen. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee ARC, In Memory of Ellen Menzie, 64 Walnut St. Batavia, NY 14020.
