Obituary of Charles Smith

April 7, 2014. Predeceased by wife, Georgia; sons, Robert & Bradley; sister, Barbara Utter. Charles is survived by daughter, Debra Smith; brother, Flagg Smith; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews, as well as many dear friends. Charles served his country as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during WWII where he was shot down during the Sicily bombing campaign and was held as a POW in Germany. Visitation is 3-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Funeral services will be Friday at 12 PM also at the funeral home. Special dedication & remembrance for Charles' beloved son, Col. Bradley Smith, who recently passed away in Alexandria VA, shall be held at the same time. Col. Bradley Smith was born March 12, 1946 and passed away on February 14, 2014. He is survived by many friends & family members and had a distinguished career that included 2 terms in Vietnam and a position at the US Pentagon. Father and Son shall be interred together in Fairfield Cemetery. God rest their souls. Donations may be made to Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance, 116 Lyell Ave, Spencerport, NY 14559 in their memory.
