Obituary of Patricia Sherman

Ogden: August 5, 2014 at age 81. Predeceased by granddaughter, Jennifer Quackenbush. Survived by her children, John (Sue) Sherman, Cherie (Gary) Glosser, Bill (Kozue) Sherman, Linda (Bob) Quackenbush; grandchildren, Tina (Sean) Barry, Candice Quackenbush, Heather (Bruce) Scheel, Drew (Krista) Glosser, Kaitlin Sherman, Morgan Quackenbush, Krystal Sherman, Ashley Sherman; great-grandchildren, Tyler Weston, Cody Scheel, Gavin Scheel, Walker Quackenbush, MaKenna Barry and many friends. Pat was a faithful member of Ogden Presbyterian Church, Red Hat Society, Kodak Retiree Club and a lifelong volunteer for several organizations. Visitation will be on Sunday 1-5 PM at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Pat's funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at Ogden Presbyterian Church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ogden Presbyterian Church, 2400 S. Union St, Spencerport, NY 14559 in Pat's memory. Patricia grew up in Little Falls with her parents, Floyd and Hazel Shaver. She graduated from high school in Little Falls. Pat worked in her younger years as a secretary in Little Falls. Later in life, after having her children, she was a school lunchroom monitor at Spencerport Central Schools. After getting divorced, she had a career at Eastman Kodak working in the Synthetic Chemicals Division. Retiring in the early 90's from Kodak, she had several years of retirement enjoying traveling and volunteer work. Pat was married for several years and has four children. In the last years of her life, Pat had many close friends that she would pal around with. Her son John, his wife Sue, and their daughter, Krystal. Her daughter, Cheri, and her husband Gary, and their children, Christina (Tina) and their son Drew. Her son Bill and his wife Kozue and their daughters, Kaitlin and Ashley. Her daughter Linda and her husband Bob, children, Candice, Heather, Jennifer and Morgan. Pat was very involved Ogden Presbyterian Church. She was not only active in church functions but also in the church government, acting as a church deacon. Pat also was an avid bowler and used to be on bowling leagues in Spencerport. Pat also enjoyed gardening but hated the weeding part. Pat enjoyed watching The Lawrence Welk Show, musicals and Broadway Shows. Pat was a very outgoing person who could easily make friends. She loved to talk and laugh with her friends. She often thought of others before thinking of herself, this was especially true with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
