Obituary of Michael Masseau

Spencerport: August 19, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Robert H. and Mary Eva Henner; brother, Robert A. Masseau. Survived by his son Michael R. Masseau; sisters Roberta (William E.) Greenawalt, Yvonne (George D.) Anderson; brother, Harvey J. Masseau; several nieces & nephews. Michael was a Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Michael's visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. in Spencerport. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Fallen Firefighter Association at www.firehero.org/donate in Michael's memory. Born in Rochester, NY on August 21, 1940, Michael grew up in the city's 19th ward. St. Monica's was where he attended elementary school, and he finished his education by graduating from McQuaid High School. After graduation, Michael became a United States Marine and served in Vietnam.
