In his youth, James was a record holder at Wayne Central for "most unassisted corner kicks". Upon completing his education, James joined the US Air Force in 1962. After serving his country, James worked at Eastman Kodak. In 2002, he gained a new lease on life when he received a kidney from his son, Jeffrey. James was all about his family and friends. He had 6 grandchildren, and was able to hear his most recent grandchild cry. He loved his grandchildren and was always there to support them at their sporting events. James was a big sports enthusiast who was a fan of the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay, Syracuse, and the NY Yankees. Always the jokester, James liked making people laugh. He enjoyed playing Euchre every Wednesday with his buddies, was part of the "breakfast club" at the Union Street Eatery, and liked traveling on road trips with his buddies. Some of his interests included fishing at his parents' cottage in the Thousand Islands, Nascar, golfing, and old cars - his favorite being "ole Blue", the '51 Ford. James was a gifted wood worker, a pool shark, and liked playing horseshoes. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
