Obituary of Marianna Jacobs

October 2, 2014. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband, Luther C. Jacobs; daughter-in-law, Lauren Batzold Jacobs; son, Mark Allen Jacobs. She is survived by her children, Paul (Nancy) Jacobs, Eileen (Timothy) Bruton; grandchildren, Benjamin (Nicole) Bruton, Hillary (Eric) Christensen, Allison (Joseph) Rittler, Christopher (Katherine) Jacobs, Meredith (Benjamin) Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Maggie Bruton, Emily & Lukas Reinschmidt, Amelia & Penelope Christensen, Elise Rittler, Madison Jacobs, Jacob & Kayleigh Schwarz; cousins, nieces, a nephew & many friends. Marianna's visitation will be 1-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport. Her Memorial service will be at 3 PM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 191 Nichols St, Spencerport where a reception will follow her service. Her interment in Fairfield Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Lutheran Women's Missionary League at www.LWML.org/donate. Marianna was one of the founding members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencerport. She acted as church secretary, president of Women's Guild & choir member. She worked for many years at the University of Rochester in the Department of Languages & Linguistics.
