STAFF SPOTLIGHT - Jim LiVecchi, Maintenance Director - Coach, Teacher, Dad
My history goes way back with the Perotto family, as far back as grammar school. Because of this, the funeral home was on my radar for as long as I can remember and I’ve always respected all that goes into helping families in their time of need.
My wife Nicki & I own a business helping people with estate management and downsizing. I thrive on organization, streamlining and efficiency. It seemed like a perfect fit to join the Bartolomeo & Perotto and Walker Brothers team in managing their fleet of vehicles and keeping the buildings in tip-top shape. Because the Perottos have such high expectations of how things should look and run, I had my work cut out for me! Taking care of their fleet of vehicles, and the bricks and mortar that house Bartolomeo & Perotto and Walker Brothers Funeral Homes is a daily, ongoing task. But I enjoy keeping things neat and in order and helping with the physical upkeep so Mike, Dave and the awesome team of funeral directors and administration can focus on the families that come here for our care.
Nicki & I are blessed with 2 great kids, Sam & Molly. Like all families with involved, active kids we are very busy with their sports and social lives. My wife and I have our routines down… work, eat, sleep, drive kids to multiple destinations… and start over again!
Our family is also very involved in our church, First Bible Baptist. My wife & I teach 3rd and 4th grade class every Sunday morning. We enjoy helping family and friends when they need it, especially when it comes to getting things done around the house. This is something we have down to a science considering what we do in our own business in helping people downsize or preparing homeowners to sell their homes.
For many years, (about 20!) I coached football, basketball and track & field in the Gates-Chili & Greece Central School Districts. Lately my life is more filled with watching my own kids play sports. Now I’m satisfied with just coaching my daughter’s basketball team and tagging along with my son and his travel hockey team to various venues on the eastern coast. For any of you hockey parents out there, I’m sure you understand what that time commitment is like!
Our family are like fish in the summer, swimming in the pool, and I personally enjoy keeping active with cross-fit, riding my bike and shooting baskets with my kids. Mostly, I enjoy just watching my kids grow and develop into what God has planned for them.
