I just came to your FB page tonight. It's August 9, 2021. I just discovered that you, my dear friend, have been gone for two years now. I'm so glad that we made this little connection after almost fifty years. But I wish we could have had an actual visit. My best friend from first grade up until fourth, when I had to move so far away. I missed you terribly, and hated my new school. Remember us running around trying to be little nuns? You wore your white swim cap under your veil. Then all those jars of smelly pollywogs that lined my porch. We never realized that they would die. So glad that I was able to come back to see the class graduate in 1969 at Holy Ghost. It was so much fun being with you again. We had promised to go to each other's high school graduation. But we ended up graduating the same night. But you surprised me a week later when you and your Mom came to my wedding. Thank you so much for being there. We all have our joys and heart breaks through the years. But every minute with you, my dear friend, Peggy, were minutes of joy. I love you. Happy Birthday. Now we are 66...not 9 anymore.

My condolences to the Naughton O’Callaghan and Waters families. I remember the day the Naughton clan came to Westside Drive. Holy Ghost welcomed “a good Catholic family” to the Parish School and neighborhood. My Dad loved to see Peggy come into the grocery store...at least two baskets full. What a faithfilled family and wonderful friends. I had the privilege of teaching Peggy and a some of her siblings at Holy Ghost School. My brother Bob was her brother’s Boy Scout Leader. Lives so intertwined don’t need to see each other to appreciate a bond. I know Peggy is at Home but it’s so difficult for us left to wait our turn. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Prayers for the Naughton Family from one of their first babysitters. The pictures of the children brought back so many memories of the times I spent with them before entering the convent. Peggy was a wonderful big sister to her syblings. She was a big help when her brothers tried to pull one over on me! Know that Peggy's name will be listed on the prayer board of the School Sisters of Notre Dame at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Connecticut. Love, Sister Joyce

I was surprised and shocked to read of young Peg's passing. I
have nothing but fond, fond memories of the Johnson House and
the Naughton family staff. Peg was an important part of the
early days of this amazing restaurant. I will remember her as
smart, always service minded, fun loving, cheerful and kind.
No one would expect another tragedy to befall the Naughton and
O'Callaghan families. I am so sorry.
My best wishes to all of this fine lady's families,
Bob Swinehart

This morning. I saw that Peggy had died and I remembered her as I offered morning mass.
At Holy Ghost, I believe, we really had a wonderful class of 1969.
It was a special time and even though Peggy and I haven't see one another for years, I celebrate her and lift her up to the Lord.
We had a great faith, I believe, and still, I offer my prayers for her and the family.
My blessings to all the family,
Rob Bourcy, Holy Ghost Class of 1969 with your beloved!

I have so many fond memories of Peggy. When our children were small and Katie was playing with her barbie dolls (Anne, my daughter, was not even 1). Peggy told Katie the barbie dolls had to get married before they had kids. So Katie married them, and then Barbie had a child! We laughed so hard.
What a sad time for all of you. We are so very sorry.

Dear Naughton Family,
Sending love, prayers and heartfelt condolences to all of you. I have such great memories of Peggy & the fun we had as young moms many years ago working together at the Johnson House and having play dates with our little ones. I can still hear Peggy's laughter and see those beautiful smiling Irish eyes! Peggy loved her children more than anything and she must have been thrilled to have a granddaughter.
May God's grace and peace be with you all as you mourn her untimely passing.

Tom & Katie - I met your mom at Wegmans and we became friends right away. She always talked about both of you and was so happy that you both found that one special person in your lives - it meant a lot to her. Then when her first grandchild was born she was thrilled beyond belief - she always said she didn't think any of these things would happen. She used to joke and tell me she was a grandmother to your dogs. All of you were the most important part of her life and brought the most happiness. Hold on to all your cherished memories of her and that will help you make it through each day. You will always miss her, but time will make it easier to move on. Just remember she is watching over you and smiling at the joy you brought her.

I met Peggy at Wegmans and we became friends shortly after her husband passed. We enjoyed eating out and going to the movies once in a while. Her love for her family was always her priority. She beamed at the birth of her granddaughter and was so exited about the time she spent with her. I am going to miss our visits. She was a true friend. It was a honor to know her. I pray that God will put a hedge about this family during their time of grief. Lord Bless!!
