Obituary of Eugene G. Brendel

SPENCERPORT - On December 16, 2019 at age 88. Predeceased by his mother, Rose Brendel; foster mother, Nan Nicholson; aunt Jean Murray. Survived by his wife Alice (Rae) Brendel; children, Scott (Darlene Grandy) Brendel, Heather B. Evans; grandchildren, Evan Brendel, Drew Brendel, Corey (Mary) Evans, Lindsey (Cory) Pindroh; great grandson, Steven Robert Evans. Gene retired from Eastman Kodak after 36 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Unity Lodge 479 for 50 years and a past Master. He was a patient and kind man and very even tempered with a good sense of humor. Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, from 4-7 PM at the funeral home, 15 West Ave., Spencerport with a brief Masonic service beginning at 7 PM. Gene’s Funeral Service will be at Ogden Presbyterian Church, 2400 South Union St, Spencerport on Saturday, January 4, 11:00 AM. Interment in Fairfield Cemetery. Our heartfelt thanks to ALL of the staff at the Hamlet and Wegmans Cottage 200 at Unity for their kind and loving care of Gene.
