One of my earliest memories of Eloise is her playing a guitar and singing in your living room on County Line Road. So it was no surprise on that Tuesday morning of her passing when the first song I heard was “Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant”.
Another memory, although I am not proud of it, was when I was being a bratty pre-adolescent and shared a few choice words with Eloise. I am actually surprised that she ever let me step foot back in your house. Instead she would continue to embrace me.
Another fun memory was when Chuck and Eloise went somewhere and Sue thought it would be fun to have friends over. We were in her bedroom when that voice of Grandma T came to the door and demanded that Sue open the door. We quickly scattered and hid, it should be no surprise that my hiding place was in the closet. Upon discovery, Grandma T. quickly ejected me by my ear. Somehow Eloise still found the strength and love to accept me.
It gets better, with my parents being away we had a party at my house and although I was acting responsibly by driving Sue and others home after an evening of partying, I was underage and It was clear that Eloise did not agree with me. Knowing full well that I was under age and being a concerned mother Eloise called and reported to my parents that I was driving. As a result, my painful punishment was to wait 2 months after my 16th birthday to get my driver’s permit. Another life’s lesson authored by Eloise.
As I grew older and matured, I truly enjoyed my visits with Eloise and our many discussions about politics, God, life and equality for all.
Over the past several months our relationship grew even more special. I learned so much over these past several months as she battled for her life and facing the inevitable.
Eloise was an incredibly strong and resilient person who never thought she was, she was a very caring individual who loved and accepted all kinds of people. To some degree, I felt like the more different you were, the more she loved and accepted you.
Thank You Chuck and Sue, who she often referred to as being her angel for allowing me to share my gifts of comfort, care and compassion in her last days. I will forever cherish our time together and can still hear her voice as we read the devotion “Trust In Jesus”.
Eloise, and so the song goes Well Done, God’s Good and Faithful Servant, he has prepared a special place just for you, Well Done.
God Bless You Chuck, Sue and Chris!

Dear Chuck, Chris and Suzanne,
I was shocked and saddened to read of Eloise's death. I hadn't known she was sick. Jeff told me. I have fond memories of going to your house to have my hair cut. She always did such a good job!
Ken and I started out today for the visiting hours, but the weather conditions were awful, and we turned around and came home again. Chris, I would have loved to see you and meet your family. Jeff says he has been in contact with both you and Suzanne.
Although I am not a gardener, your yard always looked so beautiful. It was a joy passing it with all its beautiful flowers in bloom.

Many years ago, Eloise made a ceramic manger scene for our home. Every Christmas we proudly display the treasured figures on our fireplace mantel, and we are reminded of Eloise's artistic ability. Every Christmas we renew our gratitude for being the recipients of this resplendent gift.

I am so sorry to hear of Eloise's passing. When I took ceramic lessons from her, it was such a great group of women and she was an excellent teacher. She always painted the eyes on the pieces we did because they were hard to do and she was great at it. We had more than ceramics in common, she helped me decide what flowers to plant in my yard and how to tend them. I remember the 1st time I heard Eloise sing, I was in awe.
Eloise has been a great friend all these years, I'm sorry we didn't get together more the last few years though.
My condolences to her family.

Dear Chuck, Chris, and Sue, So very sorry to hear of Ellie's passing. We were good friends while living in Kendall. We shared many laughs and good times with bowling and stories of the kids growing up. She was a very sweet lady and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be remembered with fondness. I was so sad to hear of Eloise's illness and of her passing. My family was friends with the Miceli family, including grandparents enjoying many breakfasts after church and visits to one another's home. I have memories of Eloise singing in our church choir, most especially her rendition of the Our Father. She gave me my first perm when I was a teenager and her and my mother Lillian loved to meet for lunch at local diners....she will be missed. Love and prayers for Chuck, Chris and Sue. From Lori (Dolan), Mark and Rosie Trovato.
