Ok this my third time entering a memory, they are getting shorter and shorter ( technology is NOT MY friend) Mary would appreciate my computer illiteracy. Mary and I started about the same time. On nights and finding our way. Mary was the perfect blend of NUCU nurse: she was a strong advocate for her patients, and their families loved her. But Her sense of humor and silliness kept the unit lite, so we felt we could do our best work and not be criticized By others Kellan was a few years older than my Lauren, and when there was talk of a “ night crew” weekend night crew “ camping trip.... Mary made sure Lauren and I joined I was very apprehensive because my Lauren was VERY BUSY, but it all worked out as the “ Older Kids” helped as the moms tried to set up tents Those trips ,one of my kids and mine favorite memories Are priceless thanks to Mary. You wete always so kind, loving, genetous, empathetic, gentle, advocate, friend as well as family and funny. I can hear your sweet voice and giggle. Will miss working with you but will never ever forget you. Your memories will become sweeter with time. Be at peace in heaven with those who have gone before you; all of you watch out for us. Mary and I have known each other since the early days in the NICU at Strong. She was a wonderful nurse and kept the Night Shift lively. She embraced her Irish heritage and made sure to be at Enright's the morning of St. Patrick's Day after working all night. We both had boys the same age that played High School Volleyball and Lacrosse. We kept each other up to date as they graduated and made their way into the world. Mary was a dedicated Mom and was so proud of Kellan and all of his accomplishments. We will miss her laugh and lively spirit. May the memories we carry of Mary help her family and all of us through this sad time.

I am so sad to hear about Mary as well. She was a sweetheart. She was my favorite nurse. I will never forget one morning when she took me home from work as my car wouldn't start. After that she kept asking if I got a new car ( my car is old... 1996). I still haven't. My plan was after I finish my degree and have more free time to go and look for a car. All that changed with my own mom's diagnoses. Once I get back to the states and settle I will get a new car and I know Mary will be proud of me. My sweet Mary.
I’m so thankful for the many night shifts I worked with Mary in the NICU. I’ll always remember her awesome laugh, witty sense of humor, and her kindness. My prayers to Kellan and her family.
I worked for many years side by side with Mary on the night shift in the NICU. She was a wonderful nurse, a fun co-worker and it was clear how much she loved her family. May God rest her soul, she is brightening up heaven.
Mary was a treasured friend of many years - we met as young NICU nurses and saw each other get married, buy houses and our sons were born weeks apart which led to many years of playgroups and camping trips. I cherish my memories of her and send my deepest sympathy to Kellan and her family. She had a GREAT laugh in addition to many other wonderful qualities. Rest In Peace dear Mary. Carrie Check
