Obituary of Florence S. Hart

Florence Hart, 93, formerly of Churchville and Bergen, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Elderwood of Lakeside in Brockport.

Florence was born November 8, 1927 in Rochester, a daughter of the late John and Stella Buda.

She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church in Churchville for many years.  Her love of her Polish heritage shined through in the lavish holiday meals that she hosted for friends and family.  She instilled this love of gathering around the table for Polish delicacies in her daughter and grandchildren who continue the traditions in their own homes.  She was a proud homemaker with a keen eye for detail both in her meticulously maintained home and the beautiful ensembles that she would wear for every occasion.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Chester Buda and Ronald Buda, her sister, Wanda Zelazny and her dear friend in faith Charlotte Bruney.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Hammerl of Bergen; sister, Patricia (Edward) DeMars of North Chili; sister in law, Joanne Buda of Byron; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her Brazilian daughter, Suely.
