My condolences to the Nolan family. Bill was a good man and a good cop. Befor 911 he would frequently stop into the dispatch offfice on the 5th floor. He always had a smile and frequently a story to make us laugh. When he worked the wagon his "customers" would frequently ask for him by name, especialy on cold nights.

The friendship I shared with Bill enriched both our lives. I often referred to him as an old sage full of wisdom, insight, and as everyone knows humor. He was a memorable character who left a positive impression on everyone he touched. He was always moving forward constantly planning and scheming right through his final days. The highlight of his full and happy life was spending time with Margaret and his family who he loved unconditionally. I always looked forward to our conversations and I will miss him dearly Dennis Coyle

Margaret,
I send prayers for comfort to you and your family as you deal with Bill's passing. Your Blue family mourns with you. Bill was one of those guys who made coming to work a lot of fun. There are so many great memories and I will always smile when I think of him. Rest in eternal peace Brother Bill.

Bill and I worked together in the "paddy wagon" for several years and became great friends. We shared many laughs and fun times. His sense of humor was legendary and he was always asking me "Mare...you find any politicals for me?" in his never ending pursuit of political memorabilia! I will cherish memories of Bill always. Deepest condolences to Margaret and the entire Nolan family. Rest in peace my friend...

For many of us "Wagon-master" and Bill Nolan were synonymous. What a great guy, for the RPD and, I am sure, to his family. My regrets to his family and condolences to his many, many, friends. Gary Birkahn, RPD, Retired.
