I loved Ruth Foley. She taught me how to sew. My parents bought my sister and my horses from Ruth, Cacunder and Hamsilla. My Mom and Ruth worked together. We moved away, I will regret not visiting her on my trips back home to tell her how special she was to me.

I am sad to learn about Ruth's passing. She was such a wonderful women. I remember her teaching me how to sew and cook in 4H. When Dad was able to get around, we would meet Ruth in Churchville for lunch. She had a wonderful life and everyone will miss her.

Ruthy you will be missed. I have so many fond memories growing up and being at the farm. I remember all the picnics, the kickball we would all play. The first time I was on a horse was with Scott and what did my cousin do? Had the horse rear up and I fell off the back lol. First time I ever ice skated was with all of us cousins going to a pond near you. I remember being there with you and my grandma Ruth Cassady and great grandma Ruth Courtwright. Boy all those Ruths were confusing but I love my name and passed it to my oldest daughter. But unfortunately as sometimes happens life gets in the way and we seem to drift away until its too late. I wish I had spent more time with you. Tge last time O saw you was years ago when my twins went to school there and they met you. Rest easy. I love you. Ruth A Zugnoni Latragna

“... but live and labor
So that when you are gone
Everyone can see

That could have been written for Ruth. In the years I have known her, she has always been so full of life - whether walking her dog, “working out” at Churchville Physical Therapy, working at the library (and always delivering her signature flowers!), or lighting up ones day with a chat. Ruth brought such enthusiasm and energy to every day. She was a true role model to those of us who were younger, chronologically, but had no where near her energy or positive outlook on life. She was/is dearly loved and will truly be missed. Thank you for all you added to our lives, Ruth. Alice

To my old friend Ruth, I wish I'd had the chance to say goodbye. You were too unassuming to ever realize the impact you made on so many of us. I will always miss you. I hope that somehow, we can meet again, and in so doing, I hope you'll have "saved me a seat on the other side." Thank you for everything.
