Aunt Ruth was the oldest and outlived her 3 siblings my mom June Kenney as well as our uncles, Dave and Bob Meagher and aunt Jeanette Meagher. She cared strongly for family and being strong in her catholic faith. For many years before uncle Howie's health issues occurred; they would go to the senior citizens center in Churchville and volunteer. Aunt Ruth admitted to being a tomboy in her youth and had been on a girls' softball team. I remember times in my youth when we as a family would visit in the summer; the adult Kenneys and the adult Traceys would play card games for pennies. They seriously played but also seriously had fun. She enjoyed cats and always had at least one or more in the home. She also seemed to enjoy animated battery operated birds, monkeys, cats etc. My mom and aunt Ruth were 13 months apart in age but were closely bond in love as friends.I picture both aunt Ruth and uncle Howie as being good people just living out their lives the best way they could. She will as well as our parents, aunts, uncles, cousin Carol and grandparents be missed but not forgotten. May we all try to remember the good in the people through our lives and forgive each other of perceived misdeeds and inconsistencies. Love from Eileen F. Kenney
