Obituary of Margaret G. Hallenbeck

Margaret M (Gaspar) Hallenbeck

North Chili – aged 97, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Predeceased by her parents, Frank & Margaret Gaspar; brothers, Peter Stanz & Paul Gaspar; beloved sister, Gisella Gaspar. She is survived by her three children, Linda, Bennett Jr & Beth; five grandchildren, David, Karen, Bennett III, Garrett & Brett; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Gaspar; several nieces & nephews.

Margaret was born and raised in Passaic, NJ, but spent most of the last 63 years in the Rochester area. She retired from the New York State Insurance Fund in 1981 and began working for Kelly Temps so she would have more time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling the world with friends and family, swimming, and crocheting.

We would like to thank all the wonderful people at U of R Home Care/Hospice. We could never have made it through home hospice without them. Thank you, Melissa, Joshua & Joann for your compassion, advice, and encouragement.

There will be no local service as she will be returning to New Jersey for a private interment.
