Obituary of Christine Smith

Smith, Christine Jean (Laisney) Churchville: March 23, 2016 at age 62. Christine J. Smith went home to be with the Lord after a brave and difficult battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Alexis & Bonnie Jean Laisney. She is survived by the love of her life, Charles "Tom" Smith; she will be forever cherished by her four children, Pam (Jason) Smith-Klotzer, Jennifer Smith, Amanda Smith, Mark (Stephanie) Smith; grandchildren, Gregory, Olivia, Grayson and many grand dogs; brothers & sister, Heather (Kraig) Quinn, Scott Laisney, Thomas (Lisa) Laisney; several nieces & nephews including Kyle (Kari) Quinn and Ryan Quinn. Chris was an experienced and devoted nurse. She joined the nursing profession as a second career working at Strong Memorial Hospital for the last 11 years on the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit. Prior to that, she spent many years working at GRS/Alstom. Chris' visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. Spencerport. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha St. Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery.
