I will always remember the fun-loving person Harold was when he was at CES with us. He invariably played jokes on some of us teachers! He had a love for the children and enjoyed being with them. They, too, had fun with him. I appreciated his positive attitude in all circumstances.
I know he was a supportive husband, father and Grandpa------Papa Smurf!
May he rest in peace with our Lord.
Dear Harrington family. So very sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He was a sweet, caring, funny man and will be sadly missed. He loved his family very much. Always cherish your memories ! Thoughts and prayers for your family.
Harold did much more than his job as a custodian at Churchville Elementary. He treated the teachers equally and with respect ! After school hours he would stop by and cheer the teachers up, if needed, with a joke or just listen to their troubles! He enjoyed the children during school and they enjoyed him. I admired the patience he showed to them during school and at the farm ! His laughter was contagious ! Noone can ever replace him`!
I have great memories in my heart of 18 years of years of working with the "hairy man".
What a joy! He constantly ripped on us in the nurses office; everyday a new prank or a new joke. But then, oh the conversations of the importance of family to Harold. What a wonderful man. He will be sorely missed! I have a special place in my heart for all of you. I loved having so many of his grandchildren go through our building. God's richest blessings to all of you. Whether caring for his lambs on the farm, his family, or the teachers and students at CES, Harold always thought of everyone else first. Many prayers to his family on the loss of this very special man.
