Rochester: Maggie left this world on Sunday, September 24th, at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband, Sam Monachino; her children, Kathleen Tieppo, David Tillotson, Tracy (John) Cope, Mary Fran (Gary) Schmidt, and her beloved daughter in law, Tammy Tillotson. Maggie was a proud grandmother to Maggie (Rob) Vilord, Jenny (Brian) Pilarski, Emily (Phil) Kyle, Abbey Cope, Kyle Tillotson, Nate Schmidt, Braeden Schmidt and 5 great grandchildren. Maggie is also survived by her brother, David (Jean) Hehir, sister, Priscilla (Robert) Hodges and lifelong best friend and co-conspirator, Kathy Hendrix.
Maggie grew up in East Irondequoit and raised her family there until moving to “the Farm” in Wyoming, NY 35 years ago. Maggie worked in several capacities over her lifetime to take care of her family. Most recently she devoted her time to Angel Action of Wyoming County, where she gave back to her community, and worked alongside her friends. Maggie was a strong, sweet and generous soul, who endeared herself to many. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Maggie’s visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 10 AM -12 PM at the funeral home, 21 S. Main St., Churchville. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Angel Action of Wyoming County, 6470 State Route 20a, Ste 1, Perry, NY 14530 in Maggie’s memory.
