On behalf of the staff and board of the Sharlot Hall Museum, I wish to express my sincere condolences to you and your family for the loss of Bob. He was, as you know, a strong supporter of the Museum, for which we have been very appreciative. He was a good man and he will be missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. So enjoyed seeing the two of you out and about together and all of the wonderful things you did for the Community of Prescott while you were here. You were both endearing to all who met you and always had a kind word as you went your way. I know you will miss him terribly and know too, the memories and joy shared together will be precious to you. I bid you peace and be well.

So sorry to hear the news of Bob’s passing. He was a wonderful friend and mentor to me. Bob not only became a family friend as he and Barbara came out to show support for my kids in their various sports and dance activities but Bob was also kind enough to take the time to serve on my advisory board at BBVA Compass during my years as the Prescott market president. In doing so, Bob created tremendous value for the community and the bank. Bob will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and the family.

Dear Barbara & Family,
With a heavy heart, I extend my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all, Bob was a special man who touched many lives and will be missed. I pray that God will provide His loving care and peace for your hearts in the days ahead.
I worked closely with Bob 1975-1977 as asst. to the bank president Lou Langie. Only 14 years my senior, Bob was an approachable younger senior vice president in his late 30’s. With wisdom far beyond his years, he was a mentor, big brother and friend to me at the bank. Always soft spoken with a cam demeanor Bob’s door was always open to anyone.
Bob worked very hard, was always prepared and had the pulse on every department in his division. I observed his management style at close range and he was a real human being who was valued and was committed to the employees that reported to him. Their loyalty was a testament to his genuine care for them.
Bob also had a good sense of humor, during winter snow blizzards; he occasionally offered me rides on his way home. While driving he would jokingly tell me that he only offered me a ride because he wanted a 6’2” strong guy with him in case his car got stuck in the snow.
May our warm memory of Bob’s life of service to others glow in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Bill Stephany

It was our great good fortune to get to know Bob and Barbara shortly after they moved to Prescott in 1999, and to call them our friends for the last eighteen years. In recent times. the phrase "a life well lived" has become overused, but in the case of Bob Mariano, it only begins to describe the man. He gave of himself without hesitation, to friends and strangers alike, and we've never known anyone that could match his commitment to community and causes he believed in. And we will always treasure the memories of days of bad but fun golf with Bob and Barbara, and our Saturday night poker games, which could occasionally become rather raucous. But nothing defines Bob's life more than his love and complete devotion to Barbara. There is a picture in their house of the two of them in first grade, sitting together like they knew even then that they would spend their entire lives together. We are sorry that we will not be at Bob's Celebration of Life, but we send Barbara and Michele and Mark and their families our thoughts and prayers and love.
